How can I get my account number?

You can view your full account number when you access your banking profile on Online Banking from a computer or web browser. You can also find it on your check if you use a check book.

How can I check my balance?

If you are signed up for Online Banking or have downloaded our apps, you can check your balance 24/7 on your computer or mobile phone!

Are my deposits insured by the FDIC?

Yes, we are Member FDIC, meaning our depositors’ accounts are insured up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount of $250,000.

How do I close my bank account?

Please visit a Ponce Bank branch or call our Contact Center. We’ll gladly assist you in providing the necessary documents such as a request to close the account in writing.

What do I need to open a bank account?

Please visit a Ponce Bank branch with a government-issued ID that is unexpired, a minimum opening balance of $50, and your Social Security Number. Depending on the account type, additional documents may be required.

Online/Mobile Banking

How can I reset my Online Banking password?

You can reset your own password online by selecting the forgot password button. This will take you to a screen prompting you to enter your user name, last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and your email address. You’ll receive an email with instructions to reset your password. If you input the wrong password more than 3 times, you will need to call the Contact Center to have a representative reset the password for you.

I’m having trouble using fingerprint or facial recognition to log into my mobile account.

Check the angle at which you’re holding the phone. Try different parts of your finger.  If you’re successful with other apps but not ours then perhaps you haven’t activated fingerprint or facial recognition on your account. Log in with your password and click on the “more” button at the lower right of your screen (it’s the one with three horizontal bars above it). Select “Touch ID and click the slider so it turns green. We’ll occasionally ask for your ID just to make sure it’s you but most of the time the app will use saved fingerprint or facial ID data from your phone in order to log in. Keep in mind – each time your phone’s operating system updates, you will need to manually enter your password.

Telephone Banking

What can I do using phone banking?

With Ponce’s phone banking you can check balances and even make transfers straight from your touch-tone phone. You can access phone banking from our main number 718-931-9000. When you get to the selections options choose 1 where you will be prompted to login. You can set up a PIN the first time you call but remember, the phone banking PIN is not the same as your ATM access pin (unless you’ve purposely set it up that way). It’s a unique PIN used only for banking by phone. If you don’t remember your PIN, you can always call our Contact Center.

Cards

What types of cards does Ponce Bank offer?

When you open an Account you get a free Debit Card that can be used at any merchant that accepts Mastercard in addition to accessing your account on ATMs. You can easily turn on/off or block Debit Card on Ponce Bank’s mobile app. Ponce Bank does not offer credit cards.

How do I activate my Debit Card?

Please call 1-800-992-3808 to activate your card.

How do I change the PIN on my Debit Card?

Please call 1-800-992-3808 to change your PIN number. If you continue to have issues with your PIN, please call our Contact Center.

How do I file a Debit Card Claim? Example: unauthorized charges and unsuccessful withdrawals.

Please call 1-844-421-5238 to file a claim for your personal debit card. This number is available 24/7. If this is for a business debit card, please contact our contact center during business hours.

How do I report a lost or stolen card?
